The Ambassador of France, Ms. Corinne Breuzé, and the Ambassador of Germany, Dr. Joachim Heidorn, will together inaugurate, on december 5th, the cultural week with a full day of activities and meetings with local authorities in Zarqa.
All events of the cultural week will take place at the King Abdullah II Cultural Center (free entrance) : the programme includes a piano concert, film screenings for kids and families, entertainment for children and two permanent exhibitions on photographies by the french Bruno FERT on "women" and on Germany from 1990 to 2000.
This joint cultural week is part of the joint initiatives that France and Germany try to promote together in different countries to underline the German-French friendship that has developed after the Second World War, ending centuries of troubled relations.
The cooperation of Germany and France has been vital in shaping the European Union. The EU has always maintained close ties with Jordan and recently upgraded its relations to an advanced status.
